Memorial Day Weekend...31 weeks pregnant (7 months):

Mario took me fishing this weekend - opening weekend of musky fishing. The first fish I caught... a 49" musky! ..also my first musky EVER! One inch shy of being a keeper & getting mounted! Somehow I managed to reel it in, but it was so big, I couldn't lift it so here's a picture of my fish - Mario's holding it for me.

Baby's room...coming together

We've recently kicked it into high gear to get the baby's room ready. So, here's what we've got so far:

This is the crib and bedding we picked out - it's called Migi Splash theme. Mario's parents & Omi went in for this as our shower gift so we could start putting together "Bean's" nursery. I love it even more in person than I did in the store...we sure hope little Nanna loves to fish like we do!

I randomly found this picture in the clearance at JoAnn Crafts & love it. It matches the color scheme of the room.

This is actually a glider rocker we had gotten from my dad several years ago. Good thing we kept it around. We spent several nights sanding it down (it was a light wood color) and then Mario stained it to match our furniture in the baby's room. I just need to get the cushions recovered and it's ready to go in!

Baby's Bassinet

I fell in love with this bassinet last summer when I saw it at a friend's house. When I found out we were expecting, I looked at several bassinets, but I just couldn't stop thinking about this particular one and how I liked it for a boy or a girl. So, I ended up tracking it down on Craig's List and after a lot of bargaining (for the seller to sell me just this item from the set) and being shipped across the U.S., it is now in Baby Nanna's room awaiting his/her arrival!

Baby Shower!

My baby shower was on Saturday and it was AMAZING! ! ! Just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who came and made it such a special day for me (and Bean). : ) Mario and I both loved all of our gifts and are sure that the baby will love them, too.

This is a diaper cake (I won't try to eat this one) that the girls made for me. The white daisies are in baby bottle vases... adorable!

This is the room we had it in...which was so comfortable and just the perfect size. Below is the view from the room with a clothesline they hung & little clothes and baby accessories! Sooo precious.

Getting ready for baby...

Rod & Angelica's Wedding: Whose is bigger?

Last weekend we attended Rod & Angelica's wedding, where I posed for a picture with Rod, the groom. We compared bellies. My belly was 26 weeks. Rod's is thirty-something years. : )

26 weeks!

Mario and I thought we should create a common site where everyone can come and see our progress as "Bean" continues to grow...and we get closer to becoming parents.
