Yesterday when we got home from work & picking Audrey up from daycare, she had her normal snack of yogurt. She was whining about the color spoon she wanted.. purple; not pink...throwing quite the whiny fit over a pink spoon and insisting she couldn't possibly eat until she had a purple spoon. I told her she should ask nicely instead of her very whiny tone..encouraging her to ask with a "may I please have a purple spoon?"
A few hours later, we got home from shoe shopping at DSW, and Audrey was hungry. She goes "Mommy I love you sooo much. I miss you. May I please have a peanut butter and jelly samich, please"
I couldn't help but laught and smile. She DOES listen. : ) It was so adorable how she asked. : ) Yes-I gave her a peanut butter and jelly samich.

Happy Easter!
We had Easter at our house this year. Mario's parents and Grandma, my mom & her fiance, and my brother Ben all came over to help celebrate Easter with us. It was a beautiful day filled with special moments and memories that I'm sure will last forever.
Audrey has a big Princess tent that she likes to get anyone she can into. Today we had the two grandmas, Audrey and Uncle Ben in the castle tent all at the same time. Notice Uncle Ben is wearing a "King" crown. A good look for him.
Here are two of the three grandpas. I talked them into putting the ears on for just a few minutes for the photo op. : ) Very cute, gentlemen.
No Easter with my family is complete without an Easter egg hunt. When the weather doesn't cooperate, they're held inside, but thankfully Mother Nature gave us a nice day.. finally.
Audrey really enjoyed her first Easter egg hunt in our yard. (Yesterday (Saturday), we took her to the NEW Zoo's Easter Eggstravaganza for an Easter Egg hunt too.)

Conversations with Audrey
I realized I'm forgetting all of the adorable and funny things Audrey says so decided to start writing them down when I am able. Tonight, Audrey called me over. "Mama! Come over here! Come see the birdie!" Audrey (whispering): "See there he is!" "What are you doing up there birdie?" The bird was sitting on the rain gutter in front of the big window in our livingroom. Then he flew away. Audrey: "Ooooh Nooooo. The birdie flew away?" Me: "Where do you think the birdie went?" Audrey: "He went home to brush his teeth" "see you later birdie!" : ) I must add that since the snow has melted, Audrey's been seeing a lot of birds in our yard. Whenever we are outside, she tries to walk over to them and "pet" them. When one keeps hopping farther and farther away, she continues to follow it. I then re-direct her back to our yard, and try to find another bird for her to try to "pet". No such luck yet... but I think she'll enjoy the petting zoos this year.

we miss you Spring!
Not sure what happened to Spring this year. I guess it forgot about us in Wisconsin. Here are some fun pictures we had out in the snow with Audrey's first sledding experience.
We have this park in our neighborhood with a small/medium sized snow hill, which is perfect for Audrey. The first time out she wasn't sold on sledding, but we went again after the 17" snow storm we got this past week and she LOVED it. She went down with mom, with dad and even went by herself. It's a really good workout too walking up the hill with Audrey and the tube. : )

Favorite moments from Christmas
Below is a picture of Audrey and her cousin Owen. It was Owen's first Christmas with our family. He was a lot of fun to have around. We put them on the couch together for some cute pictures- we got a great laugh out of the moment. Below is Owen pulling Audrey's hair.
Audrey LOVES to play with Grandma's skating rink.
Audrey likes to spend time with Uncle Ben and also Grandma's dog, Chloe. Poor Chloe isn't used to little kids around the house, but she's warming up to Audrey.

Time for a haircut!!!!
I believe this picture is evidence that it was time for a haircut. Audrey's almost 2 and a half and hasn't had her first haircut. (She didn't get hair until she was almost 2). We took her to Snips and Giggles in DePere, which is the most adorable and comfortable place to take a child for a haircut. She got to sit in the train seat while getting it cut (the pink corvette was occupied). : ) They also had Finding Nemo playing on TV right in front of her. She did really well. She's been playing "hair dresser" a lot lately so I think she was excited to have someone do her hair. They put sparkles in her hair after and that was Audrey's favorite part! "Mama! Sparkles!" There wasn't much to cut, but she needed some of those dead ends taken off. Now the cute curls are back. : )
